Hello Battlecats Backers,
We want to wish you all a Happy New Year and thank you for your continued patience and enthusiasm for the Battlecats Complete Oversized Omnibus & Soundtrack.
After some unfortunate delays, we're thrilled to let you all know that the finishing touches are being made for the Battlecats Omnibus, and we are expecting to go to print in February 2026! Once the omnibus is sent to the printer, we'll follow up with a clear shipping timeline.
In the meantime, we're excited to share that the Battlecats Soundtrack vinyl records have arrived at our warehouse. See below for a peek at the finished product.

Hi Battlecats Backers,
First off — thank you for your patience and enthusiasm. We know you’re eager to get your claws on the Complete Oversized Omnibus & Soundtrack, and we owe you an update.
We’ve hit a few unexpected production delays, but rest assured we are hard at work to keep the remainder of the process as smooth as possible. Our goal is to ensure your book arrives without incident and in the high-quality form it deserves.
Right now, we’re in the final stretch:
- Design changes are being made
- Fine-tuning layouts for print perfection
- Coordinating final approvals with production
And because we know waiting is tough, we’ve got something special for you today…
Your First Look — Relettered Issue #1 of Battlecats Vol. 1!
We’re proud to share the newly relettered and remastered first issue of Vol. 1 paired with the first song on the soundtrack, so you can start diving back into Valderia while we finish production on the full omnibus.

Meet Mark London in Person This Weekend at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles!

Hey Battlecats team!
For those of you in the Los Angeles area, we wanted to give you a heads up that Mark London will be making a special appearance at Golden Apple Comics this weekend!
We'll be celebrating the release of Mark's epic new crossover event Endless Night, the bombastic horror/noir/thriller convergence of his genre-bending UNDERWORLDuniverse, which includes Revolution 9, Exit City, and Hour of the Wolf. (All four series' are stand-alones with self-contained stories – but you may catch a couple of extra Easter Eggs if you've read them all.)
Mark will be signing books, chatting with fans, answering questions, and offering advice to aspiring creators and Mad Cave aficionados. We'll also have plenty of Battlecats comics and merch available for Mark to sign, as well as other fan favorite series' Mark has worked on in the past. (Feel free to bring your own stuff, too!)
Zack Kaplan (Dark Empty Void) and David Pepose (The Devil That Wears My Face, Speed Racer) will be hanging out and signing books too, plus some folks from the Mad Cave crew will be hanging out to meet and talk with fans about the comics business and/or just regular nerd stuff. (Best of all, THERE WILL BE DONUTS!)

We're almost there! Thanks so much for sticking with us through this wild, unpredictable journey these past few months. Mad Cave's first Kickstarter campaign has truly been an overwhelming success — not only because we met and surpassed our original fundraising goals, but because of all the opportunities the campaign has created for us to connect with our family, friends, and community in new and unexpected ways. UPDATE #9: Exclusive Vinyl Preview Images! Plus: Survey Reminder and Production Updates

Greetings, Battlecats Backers!
As always, thanks so much to all our friends and community members for supporting Mad Cave's first-ever Kickstarter fundraiser, the BATTLECATS OMNIBUS & SOUNDTRACK campaign! We couldn't have made it this far without you.
First, a quick reminder to please fill out our BackerKit survey if we haven't received your details yet! Our response rate has been great so far, but we're still waiting on info from a few of our campaign collaborators.
(If you're having trouble locating the survey in your Inbox, this link should help you out!)
Secondly, we have a few production updates.
Regrettably, due to unavoidable circumstances, Rus Wooton will no longer be available to complete our redesign and re-lettering of the Battlecats Omnibus edition. Rus is a dear friend and colleague, and a super cool guy generally. We're honored to have worked with him on the redesign process for the compiled volumes 1-3 that are included in this edition and we look forward to collaborating with him on many future projects.
The rest of the Omnibus will be lettered by Simon Bowland, also a good friend and frequent collaborator, who we're confident will bring the same degree of vision, dedication, and craftsmanship to the redesign process that have made Rus’ contributions to the project thus far so inspiring and impressive.
Because of this changeup, it will likely take us a little longer than anticipated to get these new editions finalized, which means we're looking at a slight production delay. Our new estimated delivery date for pledge rewards is late July, 2025. Thanks for bearing with us and supporting our team as we reconfigure a bit! These new page layouts look truly breathtaking so far. We promise it will be worth the extra wait.
Meanwhile, our designs for the vinyl soundtrack albums have just been finalized and are going to print this week! These look so cool we can barely contain our excitement about them — check out the exclusive preview images below to see what we're talking about:
